Boise Win Brings Series to 1-1
|
The Boise Hawks took down the Spokane Indians by the score of 3-1 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the Round 1. The largest share of the credit belongs to Boise starter Casey Neill, who threw 5.2 innings of 2-hit ball.
Boise used a timely hit from Manol Serejo to get the win. The second baseman stroked a bases-clearing double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Hawks ahead, 3-1. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"Casey throwing strikes, pounding the zone, that is exactly what you want to see," said Boise manager Albert Favela.
The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, September 16th , 2104 at Memorial Stadium in Boise.
