Indians Win to Tie Series with Hawks
The Spokane Indians and the Boise Hawks will take the Round 1 to a decisive 5th game. In a must-win situation, the Indians beat the Hawks, 7-4, at Memorial Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Spokane left-hander Matt Young had a big role in the win. He threw 8.0 innings of 2-hit ball.

Young, who was born in San Diego, California, threw 101 pitches over 8 innings, while allowing 1 run.

"Got a lot of swings and misses today," said Young.

Game 5 is scheduled for Friday at Avista Stadium in Spokane.
