Raucous Parrots Ballpark Crowd Propels Guardians to 7-6 Victory; Series Tied at 2
|
The Cleveland (Rk+) Guardians defeated the Great Falls Voyagers, 7-6 in Game 4 of the Round 1 today. Making an impact was first baseman Ed Donohue, who was 3 for 5 with a double and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win moves Cleveland (Rk+) into a 2-2 tie with Great Falls in the series.
Had Danny Wheelock not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Wheelock hit a 2-run single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Guardians.
"It's nice to come out on top today," said Donohue.
The next game is set to be played for Wednesday, September 17th , 2098 at Centene Stadium in Great Falls.
