Generals Clip Smokies, 3-2, in R1 Contest

Handed an opportunity to close out the Round 1, the Tennessee Smokies could not deliver.
Game 4 went into extra frames and the Jackson Generals emerged victorious, taking a 10-inning, 3-2 win. Jackson pitcher Brent Fyffe threw 6.0 innings of 2-hit ball at Smokies Park, as the Generals dragged themselves back to parity. The clubs are now tied 2-2 in the best-of-5 series.
Kyle Brown had a direct impact on the outcome. Brown contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to put Jackson up, 3-2.
"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Fyffe. "Successful pitchers do it."
The next game is set to be played for Tuesday, September 16th , 2110 at The Ballpark at Jackson in Jackson.
