Lake Monsters Clip Cyclones 2-1 in R1 Contest
|
In a crucial game, the Vermont Lake Monsters put on their best show, beating the Brooklyn Cyclones by a final score of 2-1 today. Eli Adams threw 7.0 innings of shutout ball. Vermont and Brooklyn are now tied at 2 wins apiece in the best-of-5 affair.
Dave Feltham was the walk-off hero for Vermont. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Lake Monsters pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"I felt good up there," said Feltham. "I saw the ball well."
The next game is set to be played for Friday, September 19th , 2098 at MCU Park in Brooklyn.
