Round 2 Game 1 Goes to Norfolk, Thanks to Martinez
The Norfolk Tides started the Round 2 in style, downing the visiting Gwinnett Braves at Harbor Park by a score of 4-1 to grab an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Tides designated hitter Danny Martinez slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice.

With the game tied, 1-1, in the bottom of the sixth, Martinez had a key at-bat for Norfolk. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Martinez hit a 3-run home run off Lance Hearty, making the score 4-1, Tides.

"I'm really happy I delivered," said Martinez. "The pressure is so high up there, it's indescribable. This is the Round 2."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Harbor Park in Norfolk.
