Road Win Lifts Winston-Salem to 1-0 Lead in R1
The Winston-Salem Dash started the Round 1 in style, winning on the road against the Carolina Mudcats at Grainger Stadium by a score of 4-2 to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 series. Dash right-hander Mike Andrews threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball.

Gabriel Lujan had a direct impact on the outcome. Lujan contributed a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put Winston-Salem up, 2-0.

"We lost," Carolina manager Jon Saenz said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Grainger Stadium in Zebulon.
