Frisco Extends Series Lead in Low-Scoring Affair
The Frisco RoughRiders moved to within one game of the Round 2, downing the San Antonio Missions on the road at Nelson W. Wolff Municipal Stadium by a score of 3-2. RoughRiders right-hander Jerry Gibson had a strong outing. He threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. The win gives the RoughRiders a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Round 1.

Gabe Adame helped out the Frisco cause in the top of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher went 1 for 4.

"We have been clicking right from the start of this series, so our mission statement at the moment is just don't tinker with anything," Frisco manager Carlos Mercado told reporters.

The next game is set to be played for Saturday, September 13th , 2110 at Dr. Pepper Ballpark in Frisco.
