Kannapolis Wins Again, 2-1
The Kannapolis Intimidators got a strong game from starter Rob Crossman, but it was some clutch hitting that ultimately delivered the win.

The Intimidators took the 2-1 win over the Augusta GreenJackets in Game 2 of the Round 2 in a 11th inning walk-off today. The win capped off a fine outing for the left-handed Crossman. Crossman threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball in the win, which gave the Intimidators a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

The game came to an abrupt end with no one out in the bottom of the 11th. On a pitch from Jules Hickman, Jon Newell hit a run-scoring single. It gave Kannapolis the 2-1 win.

"Good win for us," said Newell. "Now we'll focus on the next one."

Game 3 is scheduled for Monday at Lake Olmstead Stadium in Augusta.
