The Greeneville Astros got a strong 7 innings from right-hander Manny Gonzalez but failed to take Game 2 of the Round 2 from the Burlington Royals. Gonzalez held the Royals to no runs on 7 strong innings but Burlington took the game by a score of 8-5 and now lead the best-of-7 series, 2-0.

Burlington used a timely hit from Vince Taylor to get the win. The center fielder stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Royals ahead, 7-5. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a difference-maker.

Burlington manager Danny Ortiz was pleased with the team's effort. "Our guys went out there and put good wood on the ball," he said.

The next game is set to be played for Monday, September 29th , 2104 at Burlington Athletic Stadium in Burlington.
