The Omaha Storm Chasers got a strong performance from pitcher Frank Rivera, who stymied the visiting Salt Lake Bees en route to a win, 5-3, in Game 2 of the Round 2. The Bees could never get a bead on the left-handed Rivera, who threw 7.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The Storm Chasers now hold a 2-0 in the best-of-7 series.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the seventh, with the game tied, Dave Jacoba was at the plate when Omaha scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Storm Chasers to go in front, 3-2.

Rivera attributed the win to "everyone pulling their weight."

The next game is set to be played for Friday, September 25th , 2111 at Smith's Ballpark in Salt Lake City.
