Lowell Draws First Blood in Round 2 With 4-2 Win
The Lowell Spinners wasted no time taking the lead in the Round 2, beating the Aberdeen Ironbirds at Ripken Stadium by the score of 4-2. The win gives Lowell a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series. Spinners right-hander Joe Figgs threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball.

Wessel Kamp had a direct impact on the outcome. Kamp contributed a 2-run single in the top of the seventh inning to put Lowell up, 4-0.

"There's nothing like the postseason," said Figgs, "to ramp up the pressure."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ripken Stadium in Aberdeen.
