Koury Blasts Chiefs, Bees Take Game 3, 6-5
The Burlington Bees needed some late heroics to do it, but ultimately emerged one game away from the Round 2. The Bees needed 10 innings before taking the 6-5 win against the Peoria Chiefs in a walk-off at Community Field. Burlington catcher Mike Koury went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. The win gives the Bees a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Round 1.

The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the tenth inning, when Burlington second baseman Casey Kish, facing Jonathan Saiz, had a run-scoring sacrifice fly. It gave the Bees the 6-5 win.

"Took some scratching and clawing," said Koury. "But we got it done."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Community Field in Burlington.
