Almost There: Montgomery On Cusp of Round 2 Triumph After 10-2 Win
The Montgomery Biscuits got a strong performance from pitcher Matt Maudsley, who stymied the visiting Biloxi Shuckers en route to a win, 10-2, in Game 4 of the Round 2 today. The Shuckers could never get a bead on the right-handed Maudsley, who threw 7.0 innings allowing 1 runs. The Biscuits now hold a 3-1 in the best-of-7 series.

Montgomery grabbed control in the bottom of the sixth. With one out and the bases loaded, Paul Haynes delivered a grand slam home run, to make it 5-1 in favor of the Biscuits.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Maudsley. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery.
