Almost There: San Jose On Cusp of Round 2 Triumph After 6-2 Win
|
A clutch 10th inning gave the San Jose Giants a walk-off win over the Rancho Cucamonga Quakes and a 3-1 lead in the Round 2 at San Jose Municipal Stadium today. Young designated hitter Ed Anstey, 24, earned accolades after he hit 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice.
In the bottom of the tenth, with the score tied, Anstey hammered a grand slam home run to win it for San Jose.
"This place went bonkers at the end," Anstey said.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at San Jose Municipal Stadium in San Jose.
