Lynchburg Sweeps into the Round 2
After their 1-0 win today at Ed Smith Stadium over the Frederick Keys, the Lynchburg Hillcats will advance to the Round 2. Lynchburg won the series by a 3-0 margin.

Leading the way for the Hillcats was left fielder Alex Zavala, who had a spectacular series and was named MVP.

"I don't play differently in the regular season or playoffs. I just go out and do my best every game," he said. "It's certainly nice to play in the big game, but you can't let it get to your head and change your focus."

The Lynchburg Hillcats will play against the Salem Red Sox in the next round. Salem won their series against the Winston-Salem Dash 3 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
