Intimidators Hammered by Johnson, Drop Game 6 to GreenJackets
The Augusta GreenJackets and the Kannapolis Intimidators will take the Round 2 to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation today, the GreenJackets beat the Intimidators 6-5 at CMC-NorthEast Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Augusta designated hitter Justin Johnson was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times.

Augusta used a clutch hit from Steve Inniss to get the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the GreenJackets ahead, 6-5. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.

"It was a solid team effort," said Johnson after the game.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at CMC-NorthEast Stadium in Kannapolis.
