The Round Rock Express and the Iowa Cubs will take the Round 1 to a decisive 5th game. Round Rock quieted the Iowa offense in a must-win situation to take the game, 4-1, at Dell Diamond and force the series into one final game. Round Rock right-hander Alex Lopez threw 6.1 innings of 4-hit ball.

Chris Franklin took Iowa hurler Matt Hale deep in the bottom of the fifth. His solo home run put the Express on top, 2-1. In all, Franklin had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"We're happy," Lopez told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

The next game is set to be played for Sunday, September 18th , 2112 at Principal Park in Des Moines.
