Round 2 Game 1 Victory for Romero and Oklahoma City
The Round 2 got off to a quiet start, with the host Oklahoma City Dodgers taking a low-scoring, 2-1 win over the El Paso Chihuahuas. Oklahoma City right-hander Jose Romero was marvelous at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark. The Dodgers now hold a 1-0 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Nick Gillett came through for Oklahoma City when he hit a run-scoring single in the bottom of the second. With the bases loaded, he hit a two-strike curveball to center field, staking his team to a 1-0 lead.

"Jose pitched like a champ," said Oklahoma City manager Vicente Gutierrez.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark in Oklahoma City.
