River Cats Hammered by Rossi, Drop Game 2 to Isotopes
With center fielder Andy Rossi leading the charge, the Albuquerque Isotopes defeated the visiting Sacramento River Cats, 7-4, in Game 2 of the Round 1. Rossi hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice at Isotopes Park to help Albuquerque force a 1-1 tie in the best-of-5 series.

Albuquerque took control in the bottom of the sixth. With two out and runners on 1st and 3rd, Evan Peterson hit a run-scoring single to make it 5-4, Isotopes.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Rossi told the Albuquerque News.

The next game is set to be played for Thursday, September 16th , 2106 at Raley Field in Sacramento.
