Riding the 2-hit performance of left fielder Sam Baia, the El Paso Chihuahuas got a road win against the Memphis Redbirds, 7-5, in Game 3 of the Round 2. Baia went 2-5 with 2 singles, while scoring 2 and driving in 2 for the Chihuahuas, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 1.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Enrique Escobar? The El Paso second baseman had a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put the Chihuahuas on top, 5-4. For the game, Escobar had 1 double and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We haven't forgotten how long this series might be, but 2-1 is a heck of a lot better than 1-2," Baia said.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at AutoZone Park in Memphis.
