Round 1 Goes the Distance, Chicago (Rk+) Prevails
The fans in Chicago (Rk+) are delirious, while there is little joy to be found in Cleveland (Rk+).

The Chicago (Rk+) Cubs finished off the Cleveland (Rk+) Guardians 2-0 in the deciding game of the Round 1 played at Parrots Ballpark.

They took the series 3-2 and will now head to the Round 2.

For his standout play, Chicago (Rk+) center fielder Skyler McGuire was voted the series' Most Valuable Player.

He batted .579, drove in 5 runs and scored 4 to lead his club to victory.

"We could never really figure out how to pitch to McGuire and that doomed us," said Guardians manager Greg Malhiot. "Hats off to Chicago (Rk+), though. That was a great series."

The Chicago (Rk+) Cubs will play against the Great Falls Voyagers in the next round. Great Falls won their series against the Missoula Osprey 3 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
