Cincinnati (SS-A) Moves on to Round 2
|
The Cincinnati (SS-A) Reds have swept the Eugene Emeralds and are on to the Round 2. Cincinnati (SS-A) won 4-2 today at PK Park to clinch the Round 1.
"We're happy to have put the dagger in when we had the chance," said Cincinnati (SS-A) second baseman Ivan Silva, who was named MVP for the series. "It could have been a tough series to finish if we let them start winning."
Silva won the award with a .444 batting average and a .615 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 2 runs.
The Cincinnati (SS-A) Reds don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Boise Hawks - Chicago A (SS-A) White Sox series. That series is tied at 1 game each. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
