Voyagers Win to Extend Series Lead to 3-0
|
The Great Falls Voyagers are one game away from a sweep of the Helena Brewers today after a road win at Kindrick Legion Field, 4-1. Voyagers shortstop Jon Forsyth was a key contributor. He went 1 for 3 with a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Great Falls now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Round 3.
The Voyagers took a 3-0 lead in the top of the fourth inning. Facing Helena hurler Ben Ames with one out, Forsyth hit a 2-run single.
"We lost," Helena manager Zaire Charles said later. "We'll deal with it. The series isn't over."
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Kindrick Legion Field in Helena.
