Blitzed by Serna, Mustangs, Guardians Sink Further in R1

Riding the 3-hit performance of shortstop Jose Serna, the Billings Mustangs got a road win against the Cleveland (Rk+) Guardians, 5-2, in Game 2 of the Round 1. Serna was 3-4 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 2 for the Mustangs, who now lead the best-of-5 series, 2 games to 0.
A key moment came with two out in the top of the fifth. That's when Serna hit a curveball from Fernando Morales for a solo home run, putting Billings up, 3-1.
"We have been clicking right from the start of this series, so our mission statement at the moment is just don't tinker with anything," Billings manager Steve Gomez told reporters.
Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday at Dehler Park in Billings.
