When he got to Cleveland (Rk+), Jay Pritchett was just worrying about staying on the roster. Today, he was starring in the Round 1.

The 20-year-old rookie left-hander shut out the host Chicago (Rk+) Cubs, 4-0, in a remarkable performance at Harbingers Ballpark. With the win, the Guardians took a 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 Round 1.

Cleveland (Rk+) relied on the hitting of Jack Knoll to pick up the win. The first baseman ripped a run-scoring triple in the top of the first inning to put the Guardians on top, 1-0. For the game, Knoll had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"The bar for us is not a particular opponent, it's ourselves," said Cleveland (Rk+) manager Greg Malhiot.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Harbingers Ballpark in King of Prussia.
