Cubs Clip Guardians, 2-1, in R1 Contest

The Chicago (Rk+) Cubs defeated the Cleveland (Rk+) Guardians, 2-1, in Game 2 of the Round 1. Doing his part was starter Justin Sorensen, who threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball. The win moves Chicago (Rk+) into a 1-1 tie with Cleveland (Rk+) in the series.
With scoring opportunities rare, the Cubs had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the first, when center fielder Mike Lowery hit a run-scoring double. The double came off Dustin Brace and made the score 1-0, Cubs. Lowery went 1-3 with a double.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Sorensen said.
The next game is set to be played for Monday, September 19th , 2107 at Parrots Ballpark in Avalon.
