Reds Take 2-1 Lead with 5-4 Win
The Cincinnati (SS-A) Reds moved to within one game of the Round 2, downing the visiting Eugene Emeralds at Stallions Ballpark by a score of 5-4. Reds right-hander Roberto Romero had a strong outing in which he threw 7.0 innings allowing 4 runs. The win gives the Reds a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Round 1.

Randolph Galloway had a clutch hit in the bottom of the eighth inning. With two men out and runners on 1st and 2nd, the Cincinnati (SS-A) pinch hitter hit a run-scoring double. That put the Reds in the lead, 5-4.

"Nice win for us," said Romero. "Now we'll go after the next one."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Stallions Ballpark in South Bradenton.
