Almost There: Winston-Salem On Cusp of Round 2 Triumph After 4-3 Win
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of left fielder Kurt Beilin, the Winston-Salem Dash stopped the visiting Wilmington Blue Rocks, 4-3, in Game 4 of the Round 2. Beilin went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Dash, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 1.
The game turned with one out in the bottom of the fourth. That's when Beilin hit a 3-run home run off Juan Marte. It propelled the Dash into the lead, 3-0.
"Like I've always said, I'm the straw that stirs the drink," Beilin said (again).
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at BB&T Ballpark in Winston-Salem.
