Almost There: Tri-City On Cusp of Round 2 Triumph After 11-4 Win
With left fielder Paul Bown leading the charge, the Tri-City ValleyCats got a road win over the Mahoning Valley Scrappers, 11-4, in Game 4 of the Round 2. Bown went 1-2 with a home run and 3 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3 at Eastwood Field to help Tri-City take a 3-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Tri-City won the game in part because of Josh Griswold. The catcher ripped a grand slam home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the ValleyCats ahead, 8-0. For the game, Griswold had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"Every manager loves to see an offensive outburst from his team," said Tri-City skipper Alex Ordonez.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Eastwood Field in Niles.
