Division Series Goes the Distance, Minnesota Prevails
The Minnesota Twins are heading to the Championship Series, having narrowly defeated the Toronto Blue Jays.

Minnesota edged Toronto in the series 3-2, with a win at Rogers Centre in the clinching game by a 5-4 margin.

Bill Widby turned in a strong offensive performance for the Twins and got series MVP for his efforts.

"I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a World Series win."

It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Widby continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance.

For the series, he hit .368 with a .455 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, 7 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The Championship Series matchups and schedule will be announced after the Division Series finishes.
