The sweet swing of Troy Janssen has led his team through the Round 1.

The Albuquerque Isotopes star earned series MVP honors as his club downed the Tacoma Rainiers to advance to the Round 2.

The Isotopes won the final game at Isotopes Park by a score of 9-3 and the series 3-2.

"I'm seeing the ball well and happy to contribute to a win," said Janssen. "I hope it continues for the rest of the playoffs."

For the series, Janssen hit .444 with a .474 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 6 runs.

The Albuquerque Isotopes will play against the Iowa Cubs in the next round. Iowa won their series against the Memphis Redbirds 3 games to 1. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
