Reds Dominate, Sweep Round 1
The Cincinnati (SS-A) Reds have swept the Kansas City (SS-A) Royals and are on to the Round 2. Cincinnati (SS-A) won 2-0 today at Melaleuca Field to clinch the Round 1.

"We're happy to have put the dagger in when we had the chance," said Cincinnati (SS-A) shortstop Nick Gillett, who was named MVP for the series. "It could have been a tough series to finish if we let them start winning."

Gillett won the award with a .615 batting average and a .643 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 3 RBI and scored 5 runs.

The Cincinnati (SS-A) Reds don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Los Angeles N (SS-A) Dodgers - Chicago A (SS-A) White Sox series. Chicago A (SS-A) leads the series 2 games to 0. The Round 2 schedule will be announced after the Round 1 finishes.
