The Colorado Rockies powered past the hometown Cincinnati Reds, 4-1, in the opener of the Division Series at Great American Ball Park today. Colorado starting pitcher Doug Craig threw 6.0 innings of 4-hit ball, to lead the charge. The Rockies now lead the series 1-0.

Jim Davis, the three-time All-Star , had a direct impact on the outcome. Davis contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the first inning to put Colorado up, 1-0.

"I liked his command," said Colorado manager Trevor Taka. "Doug was throwing strikes."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.
