Myrtle Beach Breaks Through for First Win in Round 2; Now Trails 2-1
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans have closed some of the gap between themselves and the series-leading Wilmington Blue Rocks, winning, 5-1, at TicketReturn.com Field at Pelicans Ballpark. Pelicans left-hander Danny Rosa threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball. The win cuts the deficit facing the Pelicans to 2-1 in the best-of-7 Round 2.

Josh Warner dealt the Blue Rocks a blow in the bottom of the sixth. Batting with runners on 2nd and 3rd and Myrtle Beach leading 3-1, Warner hit a first pitch fastball for a 2-run double.

"If I go out there and help the team win, that's all you can do," said Rosa.
