Boston Takes 2-1 Lead in Championship Series
With starter Jim Bauwens leading the charge, the Boston Red Sox defeated the Minnesota Twins, 5-3, in Game 3 of the Championship Series today. The left-hander threw 7.2 innings of shutout ball at Target Field to help Boston take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Bauwens delivered a quality start for Boston. The 6' 1" left-hander allowed no earned runs on 7 hits over 7.2 innings of work.

"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Bauwens.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Target Field in Minneapolis.
