The Minnesota Twins moved to within one game of the World Series today, downing the Boston Red Sox on the road at Fenway Park by a score of 6-4. Twins first baseman Rogelio Rivera was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. The win gives the Twins a 3-2 advantage in the best-of-7 Championship Series.

William Maki dealt the Red Sox a blow in the top of the sixth. Batting with runners on 1st and 3rd and Minnesota leading 4-0, Maki, who finished 3rd in the AL in hits with 189 in 2098, hit a 1-0 circle change for a 2-run double.

"I just tried to make good contact," said Rivera.

Game 6 is scheduled for Sunday at Target Field in Minneapolis.
