The Altoona Curve defeated the Portland Sea Dogs, 7-2, in Eastern League action at Hadlock Field. Altoona pitcher Joe Roth had a standout performance. Roth got the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed 2 hits and walked 2 over 6 innings. Roth allowed 1 run. Sean Branchini finished the game for Altoona and earned his 1st save.

Steve Abrahamson could have done more damage. In the bottom of the ninth, with Portland trailing 7-1, Portland had runners on 1st and 3rd. That's when Abrahamson hit a sacrifice fly. But it was not enough. Altoona would go on to win the game.

With the win, Altoona improves its record to 10-17.
