Alcantar, Redbirds Sink River Cats Again in Game 2
Riding the 2-hit performance of third baseman Ivan Alcantar, the Memphis Redbirds stopped the visiting Sacramento River Cats, 5-1, in Game 2 of the Round 2. Alcantar hit 2 home runs for the Redbirds, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 2 games to 0.

Alcantar had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Redbirds went on to win.

"You hit 2 home runs in the regular season and you remember it," Alcantar said later. "You hit 2 home runs in the Round 2 and everyone remembers it."

Game 3 is scheduled for Thursday at Raley Field in Sacramento.
