Riding the 2-hit performance of shortstop Michael Yoss, the Carolina Mudcats got a road win against the Potomac Nationals, 6-5, in Game 3 of the Round 2. Yoss was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Mudcats, who now lead the best-of-7 series, 3 games to 0.

Carolina used a big swing from Nate Montanye to get the win. The designated hitter walloped a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Mudcats up, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it changed the outcome.

"Win or lose, the second this season ends, I'm going on vacation," Yoss said in his postgame remarks.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at G. Richard Pfitzner Stadium in Woodbridge.
