A sweep is in sight.

The Winston-Salem Dash overcame a spirited performance by Lynchburg third baseman Rich Sanchez to knock off the Hillcats, 10-9, at BB&T Ballpark in Game 3 of the Round 2. Sanchez went 3 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice but could not will the Hillcats to victory. Winston-Salem now sits on a 3-0 advantage and has its eyes on sweeping the best-of-7 series.

Winston-Salem left fielder Aaron Hutchinson made an impact. He drilled a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. In the contest, Hutchinson went 1-4 with a walk. He scored 2 times.

"I felt good up there," said Hutchinson. "I saw the ball well."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at BB&T Ballpark in Winston-Salem.
