Owlz Hammered by Brinkman, Drop Game 6 to Mustangs
|
The Billings Mustangs and the Orem Owlz will take the Round 2 to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Mustangs beat the Owlz, 5-4, at Dehler Park to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Billings third baseman Roland Brinkman went 2 for 4 with a home run, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2.
The game turned with two out in the bottom of the fifth when Brinkman hit a 2-run home run. It thrust the Mustangs into the lead, 5-4.
"It feels a lot better to be tied than to be behind, even if it is only one game," Billings manager Jon Koehn said.
The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Dehler Park in Billings.
