The Texas (Rk+) Rangers did not need a superhuman effort from starter Bobby Padley, not with their offense scoring runs at will. They got one, regardless, as the right-hander shut out the Seattle (Rk+) Mariners in the 13-0 Rangers win. Padley threw 8.0 innings of shutout ball as Texas (Rk+) took a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Padley was in the zone all game. He frustrated Seattle (Rk+) hitters while giving the Rangers 8 innings of quality work. Padley threw 100 pitches, allowing 2 hits and getting 7 punchouts.

"Bobby was doing a good job pouring in strikes," said Texas (Rk+) manager Jason Cotter.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Sammamish in Sammamish.
