The Milwaukee (SS-A) Brewers and the Salem-Keizer Volcanoes will take the Round 2 to a decisive 7th game. In a must-win situation, the Brewers beat the Volcanoes, 3-1, at Volcanoes Stadium to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Milwaukee (SS-A) right-hander Ryan Groff had a big role in the win. He threw 5.1 innings of 1-hit ball.

Nate Mitchell had a direct impact on the outcome. Mitchell contributed a 2-run home run in the top of the second inning to put Milwaukee (SS-A) up, 2-0.

"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," Milwaukee (SS-A) manager Victor Pacheco told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Volcanoes Stadium in Keizer.
