Tim Allyn sparked his Billings Mustangs past the pesky Chicago (Rk+) Cubs in a closely-contested Round 2.

Billings topped Chicago (Rk+) 6-2 at Harbingers Ballpark to decide the series, 4-2

For his efforts, Allyn was rewarded with the series MVP trophy for his .458 batting average, 10 RBIs and 6 runs scored.

"You never want to leave anything on the field," Allyn said. "You never want to miss a play of defense you could have made, or give up an extra base you could have gotten, because in a series this tight you never know what you'll need to win."

The Billings Mustangs will play against the Ogden Raptors in the next round. Ogden won their series against the Great Falls Voyagers 4 games to 1. The Round 3 schedule will be announced after the Round 2 finishes.
