Burlington Wins Again, 2-1
The Burlington Royals got a strong performance from pitcher Ross LaMorgese, who stymied the Johnson City offense en route to a 2-1 win in Game 2 of the Round 2. The Cardinals could never get a bead on the right-handed LaMorgese, who threw 5.2 innings of 3-hit ball. The Royals now hold a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-7 series.

Jesus Pantoja had a direct impact on the outcome. Pantoja contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Burlington up, 2-0.

"Tough loss," said Johnson City manager Manny Chavez. "But we'll learn from it."

Game 3 is scheduled for Friday at Burlington Athletic Stadium in Burlington.
