Almost There: Milwaukee (SS-A) On Cusp of R2 Triumph After 6-5 Win
The Milwaukee (SS-A) Brewers moved to within one game of the Round 3, downing the visiting Los Angeles A (SS-A) Angels at Ballpark of Fremont by a score of 6-5. Brewers first baseman Brian Scheafer did some major damage. He was 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. The win gives the Brewers a 3-1 advantage in the best-of-7 Round 2.

The game was at a stalemate until catcher Chad Plesser came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Los Angeles A (SS-A) pitcher Mandel Kirschner, he hit a 0-1 fastball for a run-scoring double. It was a game-changer, putting Milwaukee (SS-A) on top, 6-5.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Plesser told the Milwaukee (SS-A) Gazette. "It's as simple as that."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Ballpark of Fremont in Fremont.
