In a low-scoring contest, Altoona pitcher Nate Scrivens was marvelous, enabling his team to nab a 3-0 win. Scrivens, now 4-0, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 2 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing no runs. Ramon Fuster picked up the save, his 7th.
Casey Ketter had a big 2-run double for the Curve in the bottom of the third inning. With Altoona leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a splitter from 23-year old right-handed pitcher Diego Lujan and swatted a double to center. It was his 6th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Curve ahead, 3-0.
"Do what you're good at," said Altoona manager Gerardo Zarco. "That's all I ask of the team."
Binghamton has now lost 4 in a row.
