Akron Beats Erie, 4-0
|
Spirited fans greeted the Erie SeaWolves for their clash with the Akron RubberDucks.
The Akron RubberDucks earned a win at Jerry Uht Park, stopping the Erie SeaWolves, 4-0. Starting pitcher Kevin Rice played a big role in his team's success. The loss lowers the Erie record to 1-2.
Though it wasn't a flawless game -- few are -- the fans who filled the stands at Jerry Uht Park seemed to enjoy watching the Eastern League action.
"Kevin did a tremendous job," said Akron manager Ted Allen.
