The Akron RubberDucks went down to defeat to Aaron Long and his Erie teammates. The final score was 3-1 in favor of the SeaWolves. Long, now 1-0, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 7, walking 3, and allowing 1 run. Jonathan Williams collected his 2nd save.
The SeaWolves got a big hit from center fielder Jack Childs. In the bottom of the fifth, Childs pounded a 2-run double to right-center. His 1st double of the season put the SeaWolves ahead, 3-0.
"We put together a nice win," Long said.
The loss drops the RubberDucks to 0-3.
