Road Win Lifts Texas (AZL) to 2-1 Lead in R1
The Texas (AZL) Rangers moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the Cleveland (AZL) Indians on the road at Indians Developmental Complex by a score of 9-4. Rangers right-hander Gabe Rojas had a strong outing. He threw 8 innings of 6-hit ball. The win gives the Rangers a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Round 1.

Rojas was in the zone all game. He frustrated Cleveland (AZL) hitters while giving the Rangers 8.1 innings of quality work. Rojas threw 139 pitches, allowing 6 hits and getting 12 punchouts.

"Winning the game is always the first objective," Rojas said.

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Indians Developmental Complex. The scheduled starters for the game are Juan Ponce for the Texas (AZL) Rangers and Keith Bowser for the the Cleveland (AZL) Indians.
