Goller Handcuffs Dragons, Captains Seize 2-0 Advantage in R1
The Lake County Captains moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the Dayton Dragons on the road at Fifth Third Field by a score of 2-1. Captains right-hander Brad Goller had a strong outing. He threw 7 innings of 5-hit ball. The win gives the Captains a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Round 1.

Lake County relied on the hitting of Adam Gordan to pick up the win. The third baseman ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put the Captains on top, 1-0. For the game, Gordan had 1 triple and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"This was a game where every at-bat, every pitch counted," said Goller.

The next game is scheduled for Sunday in Eastlake. The scheduled starters for the game are Ernesto Delgado for the Dayton Dragons and Tony Lara for the the Lake County Captains.
