Tourists Clip Braves 5-4 in R1 Contest
The Asheville Tourists topped the Rome Braves by the score of 5-4 and moved into a 1-1 tie in the Round 1 today. The largest share of the credit belongs to Asheville starter Katsura Omori, who threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs in the win.

In the bottom of the fifth, Ben Bussard had a big run-scoring single off Steve Steiner. With the single, the Asheville second baseman put his team in front, 3-2. Whistler went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once in the contest.

"Everything felt in sync," said Omori.

Game 3 is scheduled for Sunday. Slated to start are Nick Northrip for the Asheville Tourists and Josh Paddock for the the Rome Braves.
