Helena Wins at Home to Take 2-1 Lead in R1
|
The Helena Brewers moved to within one game of the Round 2 today, downing the visiting Cleveland (Rk+) Indians at Kindrick Legion Field by a score of 4-2. Brewers left-hander Jacob Ollerton had a strong outing in which he came in in relief and pitched to 18 batters . The win gives the Brewers a 2-1 advantage in the best-of-5 Round 1.
The Brewers had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 4-2, Helena, with one out. Cleveland (Rk+), with a runner on 1st, was mounting a threat. Sam Geller dug in at the plate, but on a 0-1 fastball, he grounded out.
Game 4 is set to be played tomorrow at Kindrick Legion Field in Helena. The scheduled starters for the game are Elias Aviles for the Cleveland (Rk+) Indians and Mike Sayre for the the Helena Brewers.
