Home Field Advantage: Hofstedt, Billings Open Round 1 with Win
Mark Hofstedt had the composure of a veteran and the results to prove it.

The 20-year-old Billings designated hitter played with poise beyond his years in a blowout 13-6 victory for the Mustangs. Hofstedt went 2-2 with 2 home runs and 3 walks, while scoring 4 times and driving in 5 on the day. The win gives the Mustangs a 1-0 lead in the best-of-5 Round 1.

Hofstedt had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the second inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Mustangs went on to win.

"Win or lose, we pick each other up in this clubhouse," Hofstedt told the Billings Citizen.

The next game is scheduled for tomorrow at Dehler Park. The scheduled starters for the game are Gabe Rojas for Texas (Rk+) and Jaden Beard for Billings.
