Road Win Lifts West Virginia to 2-1 Lead in R2
With starter Gilberto Castillo leading the charge, the West Virginia Power defeated the Rome Braves, 7-5, in Game 3 of the Round 2 today. The right-hander threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball at State Mutual Stadium to help West Virginia take a 2-1 lead in the best-of-7 series.

Jordan Soto gave West Virginia a good at-bat in the top of the fifth inning. With a runner on 2nd, he hit a run-scoring double to help send West Virginia to the win.

"It's true for every sport, I think, but the playoffs are so short that you've just got to get in and get hot," West Virginia manager Yoeli Lopez told BNN after the win. "We took care of the first part and now we're just working on the second."

Game 4 is set to be played tomorrow. The scheduled starters for the game are Mike Bieze for the West Virginia Power and Josh Paddock for the the Rome Braves.
